Throughout his 30-year career in the alternative investment space, Giles has gained experience across all elements of business, from the creation of start-ups to the acquisition of more established enterprises.

CEO and Head of Portfolio

James is an action oriented authentic CEO with high energy, pace, and strong cadence with 20+ years executive success across multiple sectors. He is strategically, commercially, and financially literate with considerable experience of both value creation and operational execution. An accomplished team builder and player believing strongly in nurturing people and developing talent.

John Percival

CFO

Underpinned by his extensive experience in financial control and disciplined capital management gained through similar roles at a range of global companies, John joined the Group in 2019 to implement improved financial control systems across the business. His primary focuses are on financial and fund reporting, capital management and the financial integration of the UK acquired businesses. His skills in negotiation and operational finance make him a core part of the Group’s leadership team.

James Reed

Commercial Director

Following almost a decade of working in the UK wine trade, James has developed a wealth of valuable experience in building operational success. Having led a selection of Cadman businesses, James joined the board as Commercial Director in 2023. Within the Group, James’ key focus is to build the structures and processes needed to achieve growth. Motivated by problem-solving and delivering results, James will support our businesses by creating and bringing commercial plans to life.

Michael King, MA (CANTAB)

Treasury Director

Mike joined the Cadman Capital Group in 2004, following a successful career in wine operations and wine trade logistics, with a primary focus on purchasing and supply chain solutions. Now benefitting from over 30 years of operational experience, Mike’s role within the Group has developed from the management of the fine wine portfolio, to include many responsibilities such as the deployment of Group capital, financial management and the creation of operational strategies. Playing a key role in the Group’s senior team, Mike contributes greatly to the achievement of Group goals and objectives. He is fluent in three foreign languages and received his MA degree in Mathematics from Cambridge University, where his interest in fine wine was cultivated as a member of the Cambridge University Wine Society and Blind Tasting team.

Dr Nik Sachlikidis

Managing Director of Aquaculture

Nik is one of the world’s leading aquaculture and fisheries experts, bringing more than 20 years of practical experience in the government and commercial fisheries and aquaculture sectors. He has previously held a range of scientific leadership roles in industry-science based partnerships focused on the development of lobster aquaculture techniques and technology and has worked in aid programs throughout South-East Asia. Nik was hired by American restaurant-giant Darden to lead the build and operation of a lobster hatchery in Malaysia and was later appointed Director of Science for the group. In his role at the Cadman Capital Group, Nik is responsible for the implementation of the Group’s aquaculture sustainability agenda and strategy, with the development of additional aquaculture products, farms, and hatcheries as a priority.

Dale Houlston

Managing Director of Packaging

Dale joined the Group in 2022 to oversee the day-to-day operations of the packaging portfolio. Bringing with him over 35 years of industry experience, he has previously held management positions at a variety of print and packaging businesses, including a 15-year appointment as Director of commercial printer, Impact (Boston) Limited and Managing Director of Guardian Press. Throughout these roles, Dale has built extensive experience in business ownership and the management of multi-site operations, both of which are instrumental to his work within the Group.

Neil Jardine

Managing Director of Highweald Wine

Neil brings with him over 25 years of leadership experience in the drinks industry, having held senior roles at Greene King, Disaronno International UK, Halewood Artisanal Spirits, and Roust UK. Throughout his career, Neil has built a strong reputation for driving business growth, leading strategic transformations, and developing high-performing teams. With deep knowledge in both brand development and commercial leadership, Neil has successfully led businesses through major change, launched brands into new markets, and consistently delivered results in competitive environments.

Jorge Fortunato

Investment Portfolio Manager

Jorge joined Cadman Capital Group in 2023 and boasts a diverse financial career. Starting at Goldman Sachs, he later worked as an investment banking analyst at Credit Suisse. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and brings operating experience from Kraft Heinz and Refresco. Prior to his current role, Jorge served as an Investment Manager at AquaSpark, gaining expertise in aquaculture investments and portfolio management. At Cadman, he will progress the company's mission of empowering growth-stage businesses toward Net Zero carbon emissions, aligning with the company's expansion into nature-based solutions.
