He is strategically, commercially, and financially literate with considerable experience of both value creation and operational execution. An accomplished team builder and player believing strongly in nurturing people and developing talent.

John Percival

Finance Director

Underpinned by his extensive experience in financial control and disciplined capital management gained through similar roles at a range of global companies, John joined the Group in 2019 to implement improved financial control systems across the business. His primary focuses are on financial and fund reporting, capital management and the financial integration of the UK acquired businesses. His skills in negotiation and operational finance make him a core part of the Group’s leadership team.

Michael King, MA (CANTAB)

Treasury Director

Mike joined the Cadman Capital Group in 2004, following a successful career in wine operations and wine trade logistics, with a primary focus on purchasing and supply chain solutions. Now benefitting from over 30 years of operational experience, Mike’s role within the Group has developed from the management of the fine wine portfolio, to include many responsibilities such as the deployment of Group capital, financial management and the creation of operational strategies. Playing a key role in the Group’s senior team, Mike contributes greatly to the achievement of Group goals and objectives. He is fluent in three foreign languages and received his MA degree in Mathematics from Cambridge University, where his interest in fine wine was cultivated as a member of the Cambridge University Wine Society and Blind Tasting team.

Dr Nik Sachlikidis

Managing Director of Aquaculture

Nik is one of the world’s leading aquaculture and fisheries experts, bringing more than 20 years of practical experience in the government and commercial fisheries and aquaculture sectors. He has previously held a range of scientific leadership roles in industry-science based partnerships focused on the development of lobster aquaculture techniques and technology and has worked in aid programs throughout South-East Asia. Nik was hired by American restaurant-giant Darden to lead the build and operation of a lobster hatchery in Malaysia and was later appointed Director of Science for the group. In his role at the Cadman Capital Group, Nik is responsible for the implementation of the Group’s aquaculture sustainability agenda and strategy, with the development of additional aquaculture products, farms, and hatcheries as a priority.

Keith Ironside

Group Marketing Director

Keith is an experienced strategic marketer, boasting over 25 years of professional marketing knowledge. With a background covering multiple retail and FMCG sectors, Keith’s previous positions include senior roles at a number of renowned blue chip and FT100 companies including McDonalds, HP Foods, Homebase and Greene King Pubs and Brewing. Keith has a strong track record of managing multiple brands and multi-million-pound budgets, bringing with him expertise across branding and insights, advertising, media and digital marketing management. Since joining the team in 2019, Keith has overseen all aspects of the Group’s marketing plans and is instrumental in the planning and execution of the value creation strategy, drawing upon experience that has seen him operate across multiple sectors within the UK.

James Reed

Managing Director of The Waiter’s Friend Company

With a passion for wine and a wealth of wine trade experience, James joined the Cadman Capital Group in 2021 to further build on his career in wine buying and logistics. Having held previous wine buying roles at Tesco, one of the UK’s major supermarkets, as well as numerous positions at specialist wine giant, Majestic, James’ broad exposure to the wine trade has allowed him to gain ample industry knowledge and develop a deep understanding of the commercials behind the industry. Within Group, James’ key focus is to build the structures and processes needed to achieve growth across our wine portfolio, by strengthening our offering and supplying customers with great wines at great prices.

Dale Houlston

Managing Director of Packaging

Dale joined the Group in 2022 to oversee the day-to-day operations of the packaging portfolio. Bringing with him over 35 years of industry experience, he has previously held management positions at a variety of print and packaging businesses, including a 15-year appointment as Director of commercial printer, Impact (Boston) Limited and Managing Director of Guardian Press. Throughout these roles, Dale has built extensive experience in business ownership and the management of multi-site operations, both of which are instrumental to his work within the Group.

Robin Langton

Managing Director of Highweald Beverages

Throughout his 20-year career in the beverages sector, Robin has gained a unique combination of winemaking, commercial and senior management experience, allowing him to contribute to the success of several of the most exciting and established businesses in the world of wine and beer. As Chief Operating Officer at Ridgeview Estate, he reinvigorated the commercial and production focus of the business. As Wine Director at Nakedwine.com, he drove the establishment of the USA operation and winery. At Laithwaite’s and Iceland Foods, he revolutionized the range and purchasing to deliver increased choice and profitability. In addition to his professional experience, Robin’s qualifications include - BSc. (Hons) Management Science, PG. Diploma Oenology & Viticulture, Wine & Spirits Diploma (WSET) and he is presently concluding his Master of Wine (MW) Dissertation on English Sparkling Wine. Underpinned by this knowledge, within Group, Robin is responsible for managing a number of our beverage businesses, including 360º Brewing Company, Conwy Brewery and Highweald Wine.

Julian Copeman

General Manager of Cadman Sporting

Julian developed an interest in country sports and shooting at a very young age, and enjoyed 20 years in the industry before joining Cadman Sporting in 2020. Julian’s personal passion for the sports, particularly rifle shooting and deer stalking, coupled with his coaching experience, underpins his dedication to and knowledge of the industry.
